Description

Provides specialist social care to blind and partially sighted people.

Two fully-qualified rehabilitation workers for the blind, one day care worker,and one social worker for visual impairment services.

The rehabilitation workers provide a comprehensive service to visually impaired people, throughout the Craigavon and Banbridge Unit of Management. They also provide regular awareness training to groups, including Trust staff, voluntary organizations and others on request.

The social worker for visual impairment provides counselling and support services to visually impaired children and adults under 65 yrs, and their families.
