Description

KAB, through contracts with local authorities, provides a comprehensive service to sight impaired people of any age or ability with all levels of sight loss.

The KAB Rehabilitation Service includes emotional support, benefits advice, mobility training, advice on skills for independent living, low vision assessment and equipment provision.

KAB Sight Centres provide additional services, such as venues for training courses in daily living skills and IT, resource rooms for introduction to specialist equipment, low vision clinics and meeting places for specialist groups such as Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma support groups. Specialist services are available for children, people with learning disabilities and people with dual sensory impairment.
