Description

Action for Blind People support blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives. This includes:
- information, advice and training on specialised IT equipment
- free counselling and emotional support through Action Talking Therapies Network
- comprehensive support when seeking employment or staying in your job when you have sight loss, as well as guidance for employers
- information and support to help you lead an independent life, with advice on welfare rights, benefits and housing
- free Sight Loss courses which cover practical solutions, coping strategies and looking after your eyes
- information and support for children, young people and families. Transition service for people between 14 and 25 to help build confidence through personal development plans
- activity and support groups
- a Resource Centre where you can try equipment and get advice. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm
- rehabilitation service
- volunteering opportunities
