Organisation details

Description

Provides support to anyone aged 18 or over with shopping and befriending - particularly vulnerable adults aged 18-50 - in the Blackburn and Darwen area.

Befriending - a volunteer can come round to your house, to a café, for a walk, to the library and other activities. For befriending the customer has to cover cost of whatever they do.

Assisted shopping (all ages) - helps with trips to supermarkets or shops of the customer's choice, with transport arranged and paid for by the customer. The only cost is the transport to get to the shops. Care Network will cover the cost of the volunteer. Customers must register for this service and Care Network will need to come and do a customer assessment.

Services available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
