Operates a variety of different accessible transport schemes for people who are unable to access public or private transport. These schemes include:
1. 35 Voluntary Car Schemes across Cumbria that offer volunteer drivers for short trips to the doctor, dentist, optician, visiting friends and family, etc
2. Community Minibus Hire for non-profit groups and organisaions
3. Rural Wheels door-to-door transport schemes for rural areas of Cumbria
4. Dial-a-ride schemes (Carlisle City Wheels and Barrow Ring-a-ride) for people with mobility difficulties living in city centres.
There is a charge for these services and you will need to register to use them.
