Description

Forest Sensory Services provides information and support to people with sight loss in the Forest of Dean area and their families and carers.

Other services include:
- low vision clinic
- a resource centre displaying equipment and aids
- computer classes (see below)
- provide a buddy for social activities including "Walking for Health"
- social events and outings, plus a range of clubs including, social, craft, reading group, macular support group and a lunch club.
- visual impairment awareness training

ICT information:
- has computers equipped with screen magnification and screen reading software
- has staff or volunteers that can teach people reliant on magnification and screen reading software
- can teach blind or partially sighted people how to operate a computer using just a keyboard
- can produce course materials in an accessible format.
