Organisation details


The Society has centres in Halton, Wrexham and Rhyl. Services:
- rehabilitation kitchen, daily living skills training
- information and advice
- welfare benefits advisors (for Runcorn and Widnes areas) who can visit your home to check your entitlement to benefits
- mobile information units serving Cheshire and North Wales
- leisure activities including arts and crafts
- rehabilitation workers (contracted to Social Services)
- "Let's talk" telephone befriending scheme
- home visiting service (befriending and help with daily tasks) for people living in the areas of Chester, Ellesmere Port and Vale Royal areas
- awareness training
- IT training. Courses are tailored to students and what they want to gain e.g. to be able to send emails, look at photos, internet shopping
- braille training in Cheshire and North Wales.

    Went to them when I moved to the area. They were unfriendly, unhelpful and not interested in anything I needed.
