Organisation details

Founded in 2010 by coach Wendy Glasper, the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club aims to provide and promote opportunities for people who are blind or have severe visual impairments to participate in tennis.

As well as our own sessions and competitions, NEVITC members are also involved in events across the community. As part of our local Disability Tennis Network we've worked with the Lawn Tennis Association, The Tennis Foundation and the Tony Blair Sports Foundation to help deliver schools tennis programs, with Tyne and Wear Sport and Tees Valley Sport at their awesome schools games and with partner organisations like Action, Henshaws and Useful vision to put on inclusive family fun days.

Services offered:

  • Volunteering
  • Clubs and classes
  • Social functions
  • Trips and outings
