Organisation details
RNIB Scotland promotes the interests of the 180,000 people in Scotland who have serious sight loss.
We deliver services our members need and campaign for their civil and welfare rights. We support children, young people and adults with sight loss to live full and independent lives, and work with others to help minimise preventable sight loss. We also have a resource centre.
We campaign for the civil rights and inclusion of people with sight loss within the community. Through campaigns, we raise awareness on eye health issues and availability of adequate treatments.
RNIB Scotland operates a dedicated Benefits Helpline for people in Edinburgh and Lothians, providing blind and partially sighted people in Scotland with information on the benefits and services to which they are entitled.
Our Advice Plus service also offers benefit and entitlements advice (16-64) who live in Edinburgh, Forth Valley and Ayrshire.
