Blind in Business (BIB)

Description

Blind in Business is a registered charity that helps sight impaired students in the UK into work through our free training and employment services. We encourage visually impaired people to identify and achieve their ambitions.

Employment Service
- We support A-Level students, undergraduates and graduates with transition from education to employment
- We have over 20 years’ experience of the recruitment process and extensive knowledge of the needs of visually impaired candidates

Training Service
- We work with visually impaired school children, their parents and teachers to raise their career aspirations
- We run training days in schools working with over 200 school children a year

Support offered
- Career planning and mentoring, including interview practice and proofreading
- Help finding work experience, internships and job vacancies
- Advice on assistive technology, reasonable adjustments and disclosure
