Organisation details

Cardiff Institute for the Blind is part of the RNIB Group and we support blind and partially sighted people in Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Merthyr Tydfil.

Our services include:
- Hospital support, including an ECLO at the University Hospital of Wales eye clinic in Cardiff
- Information, advice & signposting through calls, a newsletter and events
- Clubs and social groups including gardening, poetry, support groups and ramblers
- Products and gadgets at our centre in Jones Court. Home visiting is also available
- Home visits for advice and information
- Computer training
- Independence courses & workshops

We also work in close partnership with RNIB Cymru on services relating to children and families, education, employment, and welfare benefits advice.
