Organisation details
Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind seeks to be the first point of contact for all those with a visual impairment in the Coventry area.
Services include:
- resource room of daily living aids
- drop-in social groups on Mondays and Thursdays
- someone to help you with shopping trips and online shopping
- arts, crafts, walking, playing bowls and bowling
- allotment club
- the Society also runs an information desk at Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospital in Walsgrave
- computer room with computer training available. Training costs £2 a session and sessions are held Mondays 9am to 10.30am and 10.30am to noon, Tuesdays noon to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 3 pm, Thursdays 9am to 10.30am and 10.30am to noon. The training room has nine computers with access to the internet and are equipped with various software packages (including NVDA, Zoom Text, SuperNova, Guide and System Access). There is also a range of adaptive equipment.
