Organisation details

The Association's main activities are based upon:
- Thomas Tawell House residential home
- Hammond Court supported housing
- Community Workers who visit, advise and support the 5,000 registered blind and partially sighted people in the county.

Other activities include:
- Holiday grants; group holidays
- Payment of Talking Books
- Agent for British Wireless for the Blind Fund
- Braille tutoring and transcription
- Wide range of social clubs and leisure activities
- Befriending and buddying services
- Travel assistance for outings and holidays
- Equipment loans
- Computer training (OCR and ECDL)
- Counselling: Telefriends and visits by Community Workers
- Benefit form filling service (DLA and AA)
- Vsual awareness courses
- Hospital information service at Cromer and District Hospital, Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and James Paget Hospital
