Offers a variety of services to blind and partially sighted people in Wandsworth:
- a range of activities and events
- a home visiting, befriending and reading service (volunteers can also accompany people on trips - including shopping)
- free weekly Wandsworth Talking News
- quarterly Macular Disease self-help group
- monthly low vision clinic
- range of low vision aids to try out
- computer training. IT Courses vary and there is a charge for some. The centre has a computer suite with PCs with JAWS and Super Nova software. Visitors are welcome to drop in Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and use the computers for a charge of £1 per day.
- Link Up service to enable people with sight loss to attend events and participate in activities. Also provide group outings. This could be a trip to the cinema, theatre, museum, sporting event or somewhere else of interest. Call Ana Toneato on 0208 996 1947 or 07891 614947. You can also email on
