Organisation details

VISOR is a registered charity run by volunteers, many of whom are themselves visually impaired. We offer support and advice and social activities to blind & V.I people across Richmond Borough. Support to blind & V.I people is especially needed at difficult times such as diagnosis, assessment and registration. We have our own Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO).

We can help people to get help with technology, home visiting, self directed support and finding other social groups. Our regular newsletter includes write-ups of our many social trips, future dates for your diary and useful information and ideas.

VISOR also runs a Carers Support Group especially for the carers who look after visually impaired people.

For help with computers including tablets, magnifier and speech systems, please contact our Assistive Technology Training & Support service via email at: [email protected]
