Organisation details

We are a user led organisation which works to meet the wishes of people in Waltham Forest living with any type of sight impairment. We aim to support and supplement the statutory service provision. We want to enable visually impaired people to get out and about, to make their own decisions and to live independently.

We meet every 2 months to update members on what is happening and produce a bi-monthly newsletter to keep members and partners informed. We organise a range of social and physical activities throughout the year such as tandem cycling, tenpin bowling, organised walks and basic computer training, and social events such as a summer barbeque, pre-Christmas get together, visits to places of interest, a monthly culture group and meals out.

We respond to enquiries from members with direct advice and support, or by signposting them to alternative organisations.
