As well as providing information, advice and support to people aged 50 or over, this branch runs a Home Falls Prevention service for those aged over 50 (or over 18 with a life limiting disability)
The service can fit equipment and make small changes around the home
The Home Falls Prevention Officer can assess a client's home for risks and hazards and provide advice and adaptations where needed. Where they cannot do a task, they signpost to their trusted directory.
The service and equipment are funded by the CCG and provided free of charge to Birmingham residents.

They can:
• Fit a key safe.
• Move & assemble furniture.
• Fix toilet seats.
• Fit grab and stair rails.
• Carry out security checks.
• Change light bulbs.
• Secure loose carpets/rugs.
• Provide non-slip bathmats

Age UK Birmingham and Age UK Sandwell also offer Later Life Planning services, Activity Groups, Nailcare service (Dudley residents only), Memory care service
